of Fellowships in 2011

The objective of the EFSD/Lilly Research
Fellowships is to encourage innovative research in the fields of diabetes and
its complications, and to promote excellence in medical education.
Applicants should have demonstrated their ability in the field of diabetes research.
Four Fellowships will be awarded in 2011, each in the sum of Euro 50,000 (fifty
thousand). Application may be made by any paid-up member of EASD under the age
of
38 years on 1 January
in the year of the award.
Either the home or the host institution
must be based in Europe or an associated country and the funds must be
transferred into the European institution.
Deadline for Applications:
15 February 2011
Upon completion of the Fellowship, the recipient may be invited to
present his/her research results at a scientific meeting held at the
premises of Lilly.

All investigators funded by this Programme are required to
submit a scientific progress report at the end of the project period.
Investigators must provide EFSD with copies of papers accepted
for publication, and must acknowledge the support of the Programme in all
written material by use of the phrase: "supported by an
EFSD/Lilly Fellowship".
